Reiki & Teate practitioner training courses

Reiki and Teate are ancient Japanese healing methods to help you cope with modern day stress.

Teate is the original version as developed by Mikao Usui and taught to his students as part of their spiritual path.

Practitioner courses for

Shoden (level I)

Okuden (level II)

Shinpinden (level III)

are taught in small, informal groups at various venues across North Staffordshire, or elsewhere by arrangement. Attunements are received at each of these levels.

Shoden level is primarily for self-healing, although you can also practice on your family and friends.

Practitioners need to achieve Okuden level before they can work with Clients professionally.

Those who progress to Shinpinden level and beyond have made a personal commitment to their spiritual path and development.  If you wish to teach Teate to others you must achieve Shinpinden level and satisfactorily complete written assignments and assessed teaching practice.

All students are provided with course manuals and ongoing mentoring and support.

Reiki healing is the westernised version of Teate and possibly more familiar over here at the moment. It also has three levels. Attunements are received at all levels.

The third level is often referred to as the 'Master' level by western practitioners, although Mikao Usui never considered himself to be a master of anything. A practitioner needs to achieve the third level before they can teach Reiki to others. They also need to complete written assignments and assessed teaching practice.

All students are provided with course manuals and ongoing mentoring and support.

A further course and qualification - Reiki Kara Teate - is offered as a Practitioner Development course to those who have progressed in either Reiki or Teate, to harmonise their knowledge and understanding of both disciplines.

Please note: The courses offered by Alternatives in either Reiki or Teate Healing are not 'novice to master in one weekend' as promoted by some other organisations. Our spiritual path is an important, enlightening, serious - and fun! - journey to which we need to devote time, understanding and energy, not an instant quick fix or a shortcut to a successful business plan.
